Being on a budget really gives you a chance to get creative.
You probably have all you need
• Before you hit the craft store, take a look at your shopping list and try to think of substituting items with things you already own
• Check the junk drawer, top shelves, and the everywhere else your things go when you realize you don't really need it.
• Then check everyone else's junk drawer you know. Ask first...of course.
• If it never had a purpose before, give it one. Like that box of wooden sticks you planned on grilling veggie kabobs with but never did.
The interwebs
• Video tutorials: "How to..." (youtube.com, or Google videos, duh)
• Books and magazines: Request books online from any library in your area, you just have to have a library card in the county.
• Images/backgrounds: sxc.hu, morguefile.com
• Fonts: dafont.com, simplythebest.net, urbanfonts.com
Flea Markets
• Hang around until closing time. You'll find a lot of vendors would rather leave their unsold goods on the lot that pack them up.
Bridal Fairs
• Visit every booth.
• Take all of the samples they offer you, and request them if they don't. Even if you've decided on another vendor, or you are doing it yourself, use their version as inspiration. Invitation design, paper samples, colors, etc.
• Take the food samples. This will keep you from ordering everything off the dollar menu at McDonalds on the way home and save you a couple bucks.
