Affordable (indoor) venues: community centers, women's clubs and senior centers

...are usually charged per hour. One thing to remember is you will need to purchase liability insurance and most likely have to rent all of your tables/chairs/dance floor etc. Some of these things can be borrowed from your cater.

Lucie Stern Community Center: $90-160 per hour depending on the room(s)
I looks just like the pictures, just a little dusty. One of the nicest community centers I've seen in person. herecomestheguide.compafd.org

P.S. The ballroom is not in the courtyard building shown above (your guest could grab some fresh air here) It's to the right.

Pros:
• Nice backdrop for photography
• Multiple rooms and a kitchen, you can rent the whole place out for about $1,600.
• The two smaller rooms and kitchen have doors two a second, smaller courtyard where the actual ceremony takes place.

Cons:
• The courtyard pictured above is not available for rental. :( I wanted to use it for the ceremony, but it's always open to the public.)
• Smells horrible—a mix of sweaty kids, dirty socks, pee and tampons. UGH! I'm not sure if we just went on a bad day, but Mom, my sister and I held our breath while inside and asked all of our questions while gasping for air outside. As no one would be able to eat, this place is a definite no! :(

I will be visiting the Wednesday Club in Suisun City this weekend. I don't have my hopes up, but we shall see...
